Lee James from Tierra Vegetables kindly provided the peacock feathers that adorned our large mixed bouquets.

Flowers for friends.  Erica put three bouquets together as gifts to friends and neighbors.

Snapdragons are coming on strong.

The nopal cactus greeted us with a blossom this morning.

Butterflies Loving the Statice

These are both varieties of swallowtails. 

The yellow above I believe is a Western Tiger.

The blue and black in the video below is most likely a male Pipevine.  Note the chinks missing from the left wing.

May Flowers in the Garden

 Schizanthus, or Poor Man's Orchid

Yellow Poker Plant, Kniphofia.  A member of the lily family.

Scabiosa seed pod.  Pincushion flower.  A light white and lavender flower that forms these pods seen to the very left.

Campanula or Canterbury Bells.

Pink Foxglove.
